Angel Food Ministries
This is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and contributing to benevolent outreach programs in communities throughout the United States. Angel Food Ministries accepts food stamps. Orders paid by credit or debit card may be made on line. Everyone qualifies!
Area Agency on Aging
AAoA provides programs and services to help keep lower-income older adults living independently. The agency administers the Passport Waiver Program.
Info Line is Summit County’s 24-hour community information and referral service, answering 75,000 incoming calls annually to link people in need of services with the providers of such services.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) administers Medicare, the nation’s largest health insurance program, which covers nearly 40 million Americans. Medicare is a Health Insurance Program for people age 65 or older, some disabled people under age 65, and people of all ages with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure treated with dialysis or a transplant).
This is a non-profit neighborhood-based, comprehensive ministry working in the community of South Akron. Founded in 1968 through the cooperation of four churches in the surrounding area, OPEN M helps people of inner-city Akron address short-and long-term needs.
Sick Child Care Center
Located just inside the main entrance to the William H. Considine Professional Building, the center accepts mildly-ill children up to 16 years old and is open Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The daily charge is $60 per child, and payment is required when the child is checked in. Children are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Stewart’s Caring Place
The mission of Stewart’s Caring Place is to provide a caring environment of healing and support for individuals and families touched by cancer. The program:

Summit County Department of Job and Family Services
The Department of Job and Family Services covers a broad spectrum, including wellness programs and job training.
Summit County Health Department
